Linking database to source control only allows me one choice of connection server

Post by MNI » Thu 13 Oct 2016 11:24

Linking database to source control only allows me one choice of connection server, and it is not the database I right clicked.
The error has happened a couple of times and I'm not sure what triggers it, but it is usually after having worked in SSMS for hours.
This seem to happen whenever I have been connected to one server, then changed connection to another server. however after restarting SSMS it seems work fine again even when changing connection.

Could you please describe the steps to reproduce this issue in detail?

I'm not sure how to reproduce the error 100%, but when it happens it coincides with another error I have seen: sometimes when I right click a database and choose source control, then it shows "link database...." instead of the usual commit, get latest etc.
when this happens I have to close and restart SSMS, and then it all works correctly again

The best clue I can give is that when it happens I have been connected to more than one server and for several hours, but this does not always trigger the problem.

Could you please send us the system information? For this, right- click the database and select 'Source Control -> Help -> About...' from the popup menu. The 'dbForge Source Control for SQL Server' dialog opens. Click the 'View System Info' button. The 'System Info Report Contents' window opens. Click the 'Send Info' button in the dialog and send us the generated information.
