.view file not opening in VS 2017

Hi folks,

have a fresh installation of Entity Developer (6.3.681) with Visual Studio 2017 (15.9.9). Creating a model from Database in Visual Studio works fine, but closing the diagram window gets me stuck, because re-opening the diagram by double-clicking the .view file in Solution Explorer does: Nothing.

Whats wrong? How do I update my model without that diagram?

Thx
Ontario

Please right-click the model file (*.efml / *.edml / *.lqml / *.hbml / *.daml) in Solution Explorer > Open With > select Entity Developer, press Set as Default, then OK.

Does this help?

HI Shalex,

sorry for coming back so late but didn't get any email alert about your answer.

Have tried your solution already before asking, there's no "Entity Developer" entry in the list.

VS 2015 works BTW but wouldn't help due to company standards.

Please uninstall your current version of Entity Developer and install the new version 6.3.710 via Run as administrator. Make sure that Visual Studio 2017 is selected in the setup wizard.
