Hi,

I cannot generate code any longer. I find the generate button a little unresponsive. Sometimes when you click it, it goes amber, but the cursor stays on the arrow, and then you wait and wait, and then if you are lucky you get a progress spinner and code generation. Part of the problem is that when you F7 or click on generate button, you have little idea whether ED is doing anything. Sometimes I click around to try and "wake it up".

I am generating to EF6, with the POCO template, with View Generation enabled.

I have managed to generate code now, but it is still intermittent. Sometimes it responds sometimes not. I am using the standalone ED setup. However I did have a look at the VS addin version, but could not find an option to generate code(F7) here. Thoughts?

As I say it is generating, but it can take about 5 mins with my 90 entities. The horizontal progress bar takes a 2-3 minutes to come up, so one is unsure what is happening if anything. So I guess it would be helpful to ensure that this horizontal progress bar is shown immediately after the generate button is clicked.

If you work with the model in Visual Studio, just save your model. The code is generated automatically when saving the model in Visual Studio, if any of the templates is added to the model.

We couldn't reproduce this behaviour in our environment. If possible, please send us the model you are working with, so that we are able to reproduce this issue in our environment and investigate it more clearly.
