Annotation Elements in Storage Model not preserved

We are using annotation elements in the SSDL part of the Entity Data Model. See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee705455.aspx. When a model is altered and saved in the Entity Developer the annotations and corresponding namespace are gone from the model

.
Is this by design or is it a bug?

This functionality is already implemented. It will be available in the next version (not build). Follow the announcements at our forum.
