Hi devart team,
We are using templates
but have some serious trouble with the handling
.
Every time we install a new version (professional Oracle) all custom template settings in the registry have gone, couse we have to uninstall first. Open the model after installation, the designer signals template not found...
So every time we have to recreate the templates.
Why this is necessary???
1. Please change the designer in that manner, that if the designer found a template reference in the edps file it automatically adds this to the registry,
better designer should work without registry!!
2. Let the template-Path as it is, without full path or better relative to the models directory, so templates could belong to the model also for different developers with different working folders for the same code base.
3. Your solution to add the templates in the registry make it impossible to work with different versions of the same named template!
So you should distinguish between global templates shared with any model and model based templates, belonging only to that one model representation.
Tnx for a quick solution for this simple problems.
