Suggestion for a new Product

Post by Zero-G. » Wed 18 Aug 2010 14:48

Hey

I was searching around the web and didn't find anything, like the following:

There are some kind of Query Builder Software's around the web, like this one: Active Query Builder

But I am searching for a similiar product with the possibility to get this done by LinQ.

Do you think, this would be realizeable?
Is there a chance that you will do such a project?

Hope you have some information about this.
THX

We do not plan to implement such functionality in the foreseeable future. The reason is that Entity Developer is a tool designed for generating ORM models, not for configuring Linq queries for them.

However, some basic functionality similar to the one proposed is available in Entity Developer. The query editor (File -> New Query) allows executing LINQ to SQL and Entity SQL (for Entity Framework models only) queries directly in Entity Developer, without using any additional applications.

Thank you for your suggestions.
We will investigate the possibility of implementing LINQ to SQL functionality in our ADO.NET products. Currently, this feature is not included in our road map.
