URGENT:Confused between LinqConnect and dotConnect for MySQL

Post by emp51302 » Fri 19 Aug 2011 21:06

Hi - I am currently using trial version of LinqConnect for MySQL, and I would like to purchase a Team License eventually.

Now dotConnect for MySQL (Team Edition) alos says support for LinqConnect, means if I purchase dotConnect for MySQL I will also get LinqConnect with it? So no need to purchase LinqConnect for MySQL seperately?

What is the difference? It seems LinqConnect for MySQL Team Edition is expensive then dotcConnect for MySQL? Please advise.

If I just purchase dotConnect for MySQL, I don't need to purchase seperate LinqConnect for MySQL? Is that true?

Please advise so I can purchase the right product.

Its really Urgent!

Thank you again!

dotConnect for MySQL includes the LinqConnect functionality limited to working with MySQL servers only. LinqConnect itself can be used with different DBMSs (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle).

Thus, if you are going to access MySQL databases only, you can purchase dotConnect for MySQL Professional. If you plan to work with some other DBMSs as well, you probably will be interested in the LinqConnect product.

Feel free to contact us if anything is unclear.
