Hiding some properties in editor based on names

Post by bdeluard » Tue 28 Feb 2012 11:39

Having often technical properties in entities, I think it would be nice to hide them in the editor, because they are not important to the design phase and they takes many place on screen. Could it be possible th hide them based on a list of names (or regular expressions?), as an option in the model (or a global editor option).
Thanks for your answer.

We are planning to implement the possibility to hide properties from the diagram in Entity Developer.

As a workaround, we recommend you to move "unnecessary" properties to complex type(-s) which you can reuse in different classes. Working with complex types is more convinient in Entity Developer than in EDM Designer.

Thanks; I had this idea, but some technical fields have associations... which is incompatible with complex types (or I miss something!).
