I understand that you have a plan to support VS 2010 Beta 2 this month. Can you give us a tentative timeline for your Beta and Release support of EF 4.0 that supports features in ADO.NET team blog last October (here)?

The initial support of EF v4 Beta 2 is already available in the latest build.
But Entity Developer is not compatible with it at the moment.
We plan to release the fully compatible Beta build in the end of January.

Is there a document that explains what the "initial support of EF v4 Beta 2" includes? I am referring to our experience with VS 2010 Beta 2 where two linked Oracle tables don't generate .edmx entity code. We can get it to work with one single table, but not two or more...

P.S. We generally like your product and realize that VS 2010 B2 is, well... BETA! :D SO... we believe that you will fix any issues that fall under your domain. It appears your company is very responsive and that was important to us. We can't abandon Oracle in favor of SQL Server and since Microsoft has deprecated their Oracle provider, you seem to be the best bet. Please don't take any of this as a criticism. We just want to make it work as I'm sure you do too.

HAL_2010, we have replied to your e-mails.
The "initial support" means that some tests were not passed.
This is also the reason for the fact that we don't declare EF v4 Beta 2 support yet.

Since we are all new to EF4 that is understandable.

Thank you!

Is there a beta program I can subscribe to? I'm currently evaluated using both dotConnect to Oracle and Visual Studio 2010 for my company.

There is no special Beta program.
The new Beta build will be available soon, just download it and continue with the evaluation process.

Suppose your evaluation has expired and you want to try the EF 4.0 Support Beta for dotConnect for Postgres.
