Postgres connection through Server Explorer in VS 2005 Professional.

Post by xlprof » Sat 29 Jul 2006 09:39

Good day

I have just installed Visual Studio 2005 Professional and the latest version of
Corelab PostgreSQL Direct.NET.

I can’t connect to postgres using Server Explorer. I added a new connection, but I can’t find Postgres in the Data Source. Your documentation states that Corelab is integrated through DDEX Automatically in Visual Studio 2005, but then your product is not listed in the data sources.

Is this an issue of PostgreSQL Direct.NET or Visual Studio 2005?

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Have you installed Professional version of PostgreSQLDirect .NET or Standard one?

Please specify the steps you perform to connect to PostsQL server using Server Explorer.
P.S. Please do not inform about same problem in more then one post.

Thanks 4 bringing to my attention about the version of I have installed. What we paid for is Professional Version ($149.95) so I thought what is downloaded is also the professional version. But the download shortcut is for the std version.

Can Corelab check for this transaction. The Order # 68877145 dated 13-July 2006. I can provide for the invoice no if needed.
