Devart is glad to announce the release of dotConnect for PostgreSQL 7.8, Devart ADO.NET data provider for PostgreSQL with support for Entity Framework, LinqConnect (LINQ to PostgreSQL) and NHibernate. The new version offers you support for Visual Studio 2017 and Entity Framework Core 1.1.1.


Here is the complete list of dotConnect for PostgreSQL 7.8.862 features:

• Visual Studio 2017 is supported

LinqConnect (formerly known as LINQ to PostgreSQL)

• The HSTORE data type is supported
• The CITEXT data type is supported

Entity Developer

• The bug with generating the virtual keyword when Inheritance Modifier=None is fixed (Entity Framework models)

Entity Framework support

• Entity Framework Core 1.1.1 is supported
• The bug with using table-valued functions with JOINs in LINQ to Entities queries is fixed
• The bug with generating sequence for the newly added identity property by EF6 Code-First Migrations is fixed
