Is there a way to establish an encrypted connection (ssl) to the database server? If not, is this feature planned for PostgreSQLDirect .NET 2.0 release?

Current provider version doesn't support SSL connections.
We are planning to support this feature in PostgreSQLDirect .NET version 2.0.

You have been talking about implementing SSL for quite some time now... Can this be moved to higher on your priority lists? 2.0 is long gone and still we are being told that it won't be coming soon.

We do not plan to implment this functionality for PostgreSQLDirect.NET in near future. If you need to organize secure trafic on a network you can think about using openSSH.
