How to test application under trial ?

Post by myicq » Tue 06 Aug 2019 08:54

I am testing UniDAC as trial, expecting client to purchase it.

However, the client machine needs some additional hardware that I can't have in my delphi environment.

When I run the application, I get noticed about dac60.bpl etc missing. No matter where I put the 2 missing files, same thing (tried application dir, windows, sys32 etc).

Is it just not possible, or do I miss a few files ? If it's possible, what are the exact steps to run a program under trial, outside the delphi environment ?

This is vital for client to purchase the license, and urgent.

Thanks

solved!

Reading through the documentation for the data providers, under "deployment", it's stated that 3 additional BPL files are needed. These are found (for me) in the Windows system32 / syswow64 directories.

So, an error message from trial modules showing all required BPL files would have been great. But no worries, it's working now.

Thanks to Devart for a great module.
