Errors installing UniDac 4.1 on Win7/64 RAD XE2

Post by Moehre » Wed 30 Nov 2011 10:22

I installed the file unidac41d16pro.exe with administrator rights. After installation I try to start RAD Studio XE2, but 3 error messages occure:

1. "Cannot start the program - cannot find file fmx161.bpl ..."

2. (After clicking OK on the first message)

"cannot start Expert C:\Program Files (x86)\Devart\Unidac for RAD Studio XE2\Unidac for RAD Studio XE2\bin\win32\unimigwizard160.dll - file not found"

3. "Unable to find Package Program Files (x86)\Embacradero\RAD Studio\9.0\bin\dclunidac160.bpl"

Its a german Win7/64 Prof. installation, I deinstalled the old Unidac software

Any ideas?

Hello,

This error occurs because you have RAD Studio XE2 without Update 2.
The point is that the latest UniDAC version requires RAD Studio XE2 Update 2.
You can find a note about this in the UniDAC revision history (the History.html file) and at our website at http://www.devart.com/unidac/compatibility.html
To solve the problem, you should install RAD Studio XE2 Update 2.
