I'm currently looking for some DB Access Components for Firebird and so I came across this forum.

I've seen the product pages for both IBDAC and UNIDAC and I'm wondering why UNIDAC provides access to a wide range of DB Servers whilst IBDAC provides only IB, FB and Yaffil.

What's the Advantage using IBDAC ? Ok, there are some features in the prof edition you might not have in UNIDAC. Is that all ? Or is IBDAC much faster than UNIDAC ?

What are your thoughts IBDAC vs UNIDAC ?

UniDAC has the same speed as IBDAC.

But IBDAC supports some InterBase specific features (like ARRAY datatype), and has additional components (TIBCAlerter and service components).
