The implementation of the delphi ide menu "unidac / help" of the following errors:

Assertion failure (c: \ unidac \ source \ design \ helputils.pas, line 92)

in (2.5 - 2.7)

Please specify whether you have installed precompiled UniDAC version or UniDAC packages that you have compiled from the source code.

In the second case UniDAC doesn't know where to find the help file. So the error can be displayed.
