Unidac installation problems with myDAC

I tried to install Unidac but I got the error message:

Setup has detected already installed DAC packages ...
that must be removed before.

After that I installed MyDAC 5.55 for D7 (and removed myDAC 4.1 before) but the error message shows up again. Is Unidac incompatible with myDAC or do I have to remove something else?

You should uninstall all installed DAC products and then download from our site and install the last builds of MyDAC and UniDAC.

thank you for your answer, but thats what I did.

I tried it today again: first downloading the latest version of my fully licenced MyDAC version:

mydac555d7pro.exe

and downloading

unidac for D7 trial

after that I deinstalled mydac and installed the latest version -> everything OK but if I try to install (latest) unidac I got the same error:

"Setup has detected already installed DAC packages which are incompatible with current version. Please uninstall DAC products."

if I do it vice versa i get the same error.

what can I do?

There was incorrect version of UniDAC on our dowload page. Please download UniDAC once again.

I have same problem now.
I have Rad Studio XE2. I installed mydac to try it. After this I install the update 4 and hotfix 1 to Rad Studio. Now I'd like to try Unidac. I uninstalled mydac, but Unidac 4.2 for Rad studio XE2 (the proper version from the website) say: Setup has detected already installed DAC packages ...
There isn't any DAC product now on the computer.
What can I do? Help please!

Please try the following:
- remove MyDAC and UniDAC (if you have them now);
- remove all *dac*.bpl and *crcontrols*.bpl files from your computer;
- remove *.dcu files from your project;
- install UniDAC.

I tried it (there wasn't files *dac*.bpl or *crcontrols*.bpl).
The problem is same. Other idea?

Try the following:
- remove MyDAC and UniDAC;
- install UniDAC with the /force parameter like this: unidac43d16pro.exe /force
The /force parameter forces our installation to overwrite all files from the old installation (if any files were accidentally left on your computer) with files from the new installation.
