Hello all,

is it possible to use both suites (Data Access Components for MySQL and Universal Access Components) in one C++Builder 2007 project?

Yes, there are no problems with using MyDAC and UniDAC in one project.

I bought the Uni DAC and if I want to install adialog appears which tell me that I have first to uninstall my DAC package?

Did I miss something?

Hello support I need an answer. I want to go on vacation and I want to test your component. But without any hint I cannot test.

UniDAC and MyDAC use common base packages. The easiest way to avoid the problem is to uninstall all installed DAC products and then download from our site and install the last builds.

Sorry but I don't get it.
I have a project which have more the 650 of your component.
What will happen if I uninstall the MyDAC and install the UniDAC.
Can use my project without any changes in source code or design?

I use the MyDAC 5.55.0.39 and the last build from UniDAC.

If you uninstall MyDAC, you cannot open a project with MyDAC components.

So, you should download the latest build of MyDAC that is compatible with the latest build of UniDAC, and install both products.

I have projects that use MyDac
I also want to use Unidac
I Have installed both on a XP Pro 64 Machine that is going to be retired
I am moving all development to a Vista 64 Machine
I cannot install both on the Vista 64 Machine
I cannot install both on a Vista 32 Laptop
The versions are MyDac 5.90 & UniDac 2.70
Any Suggesstions?

Upgrade to the Last Version of MyDAC and Unidac..

execut setup of mydac/unidac with administrator rigths..

you can try setup.exe /force

You can download the MyDAC 5.90 in the custumer area
