How would I build a SSH terminal program like putty?

Has anyone tried to build something like putty but with tabs?
Could synedit be used for the terminal display?

What about using the Terminal control that comes with the AsyncPro controls that are now free on Sourceforge? I know these have a terminal control. Might be worth a look.
