SecureBridge can upload and download files size of which exceeds 2 GB without any problems if SFTP server allows it.

I was able to upload a 2gb+ size file, but it really slowed down as the bytes transferred got bigger.

Any tips on how to get better performance with large files?

It depends on the SFTP server. Please check this behaviour using any other third-party SSH client, like Putty.
