Problem implementing on Delphi 2010 [SOLVED]

Post by trindade » Fri 23 Jul 2010 21:01

Greetings!

I bought dbExpress driver for Interbase on jan 20, 2009, version 2.40.16. My developer license number is CRDBI-00507.

I used Delphi 2007 and the driver worked just fine. Now I'm trying to install it on Delphi 2010 and I'm having "access violation" when I try to connect on database. I've configured dbxdrivers.ini and dbxconnections.ini pointing to dbexpida40.dll, exactly like on Delphi 2007.

I think I'm doing something wrong. Better speaking, I MUST be doing something wrong. Where I can find a installation tutorial suited for my case, with the detalis for Delphi 2010? I have updates 4 and 5 installed.

Thanks in advance,

Adriano.

DbxIda supports RAD Studio 2010 starting with version 2.50.18. Please, upgrade to this build to solve the problem.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunally, seems I can't do it. With my login, this version isn't available. And my one-year subscription is over.

I've seen this mentioned version was released on September 2009. At the time, my subscription was still active, but I didn't download it. As DbxIda 2.40 was working perfectly well, I forgot to check out Devart's site.

Is there a way I can download this version with my current login?

Thanks in advance!

OK, you solved my problem. The new installer did all the required settings on INI files and now the driver works fine.

Thank you for your support!
