migration BDE to IBDAC

Post by Burth » Tue 16 Jan 2007 13:18

Hello,

I installed the trailversion of ibdac. The accessibility to the database functions. I would like to test the migration from BDE to IBDAC components, with your wizard. But I can't find any information.

Best regards

After IBDAC installation there is "InterBase" menu in your IDE with "BDE/IBX Migration wizard ..." subitem in it. The dialogs that appears are self describable.

Note:
There is no migration wizard for the C++Builder IDE.
Also we have minor migration bug fix in the last IBDAC build (1.10.0.14). So it is better to use this version.

Please check that the ibcmigwizard70.dll file exists at the %IBDAC INSTALLDIR%\Bin\
Also check that migration wizard is registered as an IDE expert in registry. There should be
"IBCMigWizard = %IBDAC INSTALLDIR%\Bin\ibcmigwizard70.dll" value in the
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\7.0\Experts" registry key.

Note: %IBDAC INSTALLDIR% - full path to IBDAC installation directory.
