I have played with the demo version of Interbase component for Kylix (IBDAC), it seems they are solid and faster than dbExpress with Firebird 2 . I have ordered it... They may be very useful for Kylix/Linux/Firebird development. Has anybody more experience with them? How viable they are for big project?

We are using since 2000 Firebird on Windows.
We have customers which have DB's min. 1GB.
There were some minor problems such as slow querying, corrupted index pages, etc. But these problems can be solved.
Now Firebird 2 is better. So we recommend Firebird.
