I really hope for an Update.

But Features like "Support for Batch Insert and Update Operations in the API" comes only with the new OO-API.
IBDAC only uses the old api and I think, they will not change this, because it stops the compatibility with interbase. But I still hope...

I've a vote started for that:

Perhabs we can have a FBDAC ;-)

How about the new query plan structure, is that an old API or new API thing?

Hi Frickler,

Please be informed that compatibility with Firebird 4 has highest priority for our team and currently being worked on however, at the moment.
Once this is done, we will inform our users regarding this change.

Hi there,

We have checked Firebird 4.0 Release Notes however did not find anything about new query plan structure:

Can you please describe your request with more details so we could provide you with more details?

Firebird 3 offered 'advanced plan output', see release notes. It was added to ISQL, but I'm unsure if it can be done via other ways.

For the record, info on how to get the advanced plan (back in 2018!!)
viewtopic.php?t=36639

use ' isc_info_sql_explain_plan ' for the advanced plan output.

I've taken a look at this before, but as you said in 2018 that it would be in the next releases, I never followed through with doing this myself... ;)

I really hope you'll include it in the upcoming release.
