Demo folder location (FastReport and others)

Dear Devart team,

started to believe I'm crazy after searching for the promised FastReport support for hours.

Finally I found it, but what did you think placing the documents in the folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\Devart\IbDac for RAD Studio XE\Demos?

Maybe that could be a possible place to put pure demo projects, but surely not for components!
Why don't you copy it to the IbDac installation folder?

Is there any link or documentation note about that folder I've overseen?

Best regards,
Martin

Hello,

All DACs install demo projects on Windows Vista/7 in the user's documents directory defined by the system. This directory has the rights for writing without what you cannot compile any demo project.
For more information please read the "Demo projects" topic of IBDAC Reference Manual.

Hello Andrej,

agree regarding the demo projects.

But the FastReport connectors are components, no demo projects, therefore they should be located in the component installation folder imho.

Best regards,
Martin

To use IBDAC with FastReport you have to compile and install FastReport IBDAC Components using IDE. That's why they are also located in the user's documents directory.
