Pass Pivot Table parameters to Pivot Grid

I have built a Pivot Table query that produces the data exactly as I want it, layout and field formats.
In order to use this data for reporting purpose it appears I need to use the Pivot Grid control. However, the Pivot Grid is quite "primative" compared to the Pivot Table functionality.
Is there any way to pass the parameters (layout, counts, summaries etc.) to recreate the Table version in the Grid version?
