[8.0.40] Standard Edition - Large Script using Delimiter

I am creating a large script dynamically, using a Delimiter replacement (e.g. DELIMITER %% [block of code] DELIMITER ;)
When I try to run this using a SQL window and "! Execute" I get - You have an error in your SQL syntax near '%%'.
If I run this on the server it works fine - any suggestions as I am still on an evaluation.
