Why when dbForge Studio (version 6.3.358) hits an error and demands a restart does it just delete the procedure you are working in without a trace. It has cost me about 6 hours work!!!!

Are there no temp files with a recently saved version ?

This happens every couple of months, very very frustrating :x

Could you please provide us a screenshot of the error and describe the steps to reproduce it in details?

Please check that you have the corresponding file types selected in the 'Restorable file types' section of the 'Environment -> Documents -> Restore' branch of the 'Options' widow that can be invoked by selecting 'Tools -> Options...' from the main menu.

Also, you can check for the *.xml in the following folders:

Code: Select all

%System
Drive%\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\Devart\dbForge Studio for SQL MySQL\ %SystemDrive%\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\Devart\dbForge Studio Express for MySQL\
This *.xml file contains the paths to the files to restore.

I managed to find the old proc under a new name (it was like winning the lottery!). It was the old proc name prefixed by dvrt_.

As far as replicating the error, I can't. I did a DDL search for something in the Find Object dialog and was copy and pasting a piece of code from one of the results into my proc I was working on. Then it just popped up the error dialog and after dismissing it a few times, I checked the restart option and that was it.

Thanks for responding.
