export datetime column to excel then import again fails

Post by Xpinator » Mon 12 Jan 2015 12:31

I have a table with a couple of DateTime columns, I export it to Excel 2007 (xlsx), then edit the the date and save it.
when I try to import, the date is shown as a number, and the import fails.

the date of course is valid. even if I don't change it, just edit another column (text column) and try to import, it fails since the date is no longer valid...

anyone seen this before? my workaround is saving the excel file as CSV and then importing.
