Hi, I hope someone here can help me. I have a MySQL database running on a old Windows server with MySQL Version 5.0.27. I need to move it to a new CPanel account at GoDaddy and it is over the size limit. The database is just over the importation size limit on the new server, with the best 7Zip compression. I pruned enough data that it should have gotten me in under the wire but instead of reducing the size of the database, the old version of MySQL just saved the blank lines in a row called data_free. It is too old to properly optimize this kind of table. I fear upgrading MySQL on the old server because this database is mission critical.

I am really rather database clueless and couldn't write a query to save my life. Is there a tool that can either help me get this database down to size or split it for import? If the latter, how dangerous is that to my data?

Help/advice greatly appreciated.
