Windows connection coloring

Post by brezanac » Fri 25 Jul 2014 12:31

I was wondering, what exactly does this mean in the release notes?
Windows connection coloring is added
I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out what exactly is supposed to get colored but obviously I haven't been able to find it. Are connections in Database Explorer supposed to have an option to assign a color to them?

The new option 'Document Category' is now available on the 'General' tab of the 'Database Connection Properties' dialog box that can be invoked by right-clicking a connection in Database Explorer and selecting 'Modify Connection' from the popup menu.

Ah there it is. I don't think I would have ever found it without someone explicitly telling me where to search :D Thanks.

P.S. Very useful functionality, exactly what I need with the huge number of databases I need to deal with now.

alexa: The comparison board says Express Edition has Connections coloring enabled (https://www.devart.com/dbforge/mysql/st ... tions.html) but I can't find this feature. I'm using dbForge Studio Express for MySQL, version 6.3.341.

Can you help me?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This is a misprint that we are going to fix shortly. The 'Connections coloring' feature is not available in the Express Edition of the product.
