Windows 8.1 Display Size Oddness

Post by Sandy » Fri 13 Jun 2014 05:39

Found an possible bug, but not sure if A windows 8.1 issue or dbForge issue.

Occasionally the entire display would change size. From the larger looking display to a much smaller display of the dbforge application.

I can recreate this by a fresh start of dbForge and then clicking on the RIGHT 'code snippets' slide in and selecting a snippet from the list. The entire application shrinks down in size. Clicking on something else usually causes a resize back to the dbforge's original size. I'm not sure if this is related to anything in Win 8.1's DPI settings but even if I still see the behavior.

Anyone else see this.

Running on an Alienware laptop with 1920x1080 native.

We can suggest you to try selecting the checkbox "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" in the Control Panel (Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Display) and select DPI in percentage. Please let us know if it helps.

Please also provide us the screenshots made before and after you start experiencing the issue. You can send a reply straight to our support system at supportATdevartDOTcom, so we will keep further correspondence with you on this issue via e-mail.
