I have a few years worth of data in Excel spreadsheets that I would like import into a new database. It seemed fairly easy until I realised that the data is spread across a number tables that are linked with indexes.

Is there a way to use the data pump wizard to create the profile to import the data into the database?

I would really appreciate any ideas on this one.

You could do the following:

1. Export data from every spreadsheet to CSV format.
2. Import data to MySQL tables.
3. Define relations between the tables.

For convenience of defining relations between tables you can use the Database Diagram functionality in dbForge Studio for MySQL:

1. Create a new diagram.
2. Drag'n'drop the tables from Database Explorer onto the diagram.
3. Create foreign keys by linking the tables with the mouse on the diagram.
