Vertical scrolling via mouse does not work

I recently installed Version 5.0.67 of dbForge for MySQL (trial). I use the following Microsoft mouse: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us ... mouse-2000

When I try to scroll vertically within dbForge, it either does not work or works sporadically (e.g. scroll a little then stop). I have the same issue with SQL windows, the Output pane, etc. But for some reason the query results work!

Has anyone encountered this issue? Sorry in advance if this is a known/common issue, I was unable to find any references to it when searching this forum.

Are you experiencing such an issue in other applications?

Hi Alexa, no I am not experiencing this issue in other applications.

In the output and query result panes, vertical scrolling via the mouse wheel is very smooth (normal). But in the query pane, scrolling either does not work or is "blocky" and jumps around.

Anything else I can do to help isolate this problem?

We have checked this on mouses of several different vendors and there appear no problem in dbForge Studio for MySQL. We suppose the problem is not connected with dbForge Studio for MySQL. This is the first time our user face such an issue.

Just seems weird that the problem be confined to a single program. It actually does not scroll correctly in the Code Templates window as well. Does that help you to isolate the problem?

PS - unrelated to this, I updated this morning and all my snippets were erased! Is this by design?

We will keep investigating the problem.

We were able to reproduce the problem and will fix it in one of the next builds of the dbForge Studio for MySQL.

The issue will be fixed in the next version 5.5 of dbForge Studio for MySQL.

I have the same issue in dbForge Studio Express for SQL Server 4.0.52 and dbForge Studio Express for MySQL 6.3.341.

My colleague has the problem too. We use Microsoft Natural Wireless Mouse 7000 and Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000.

Everything works fine with Logitech M525 mouse.

You could try updating the mouse drivers.

Solved the issue in Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.

dbForge Studio does not support partial line scrolling.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We will investigate what we can do with this when developing future product versions.
