Two issues: Exporting Pivot-Tables and "show blanks"

Hi,

first of all I want to thank devart for the great tool they provide, I bought it just a few days ago but it has become very handy to me.

I have two issues though, that I want to adress here. Maybe someone can help me, maybe I am missing something:

1. Exporting Pivot-Tables: One of the major reasons I like dbforge Studio is the pivot-table function. However what I am missing is a way to export the created Table to an exchangeable Format that also non IT-Users can read. I am thinking of an Excel-Export. It would also be ok if I was able to mark the whole table and copy paste it to Excel, however dbforge studio then only marks the values of the table, not the labels. Is there any way to do an Export like that?

2. Blanks are shown even if "show blanks" is disabled: When I create a pivot-table and put a field into the rows or column field then all values of the field including blanks are used to build the pivot table. Though most of the time I dont want the blanks showing up there I tried to use the filter function in the rows and column fields and disable the "show blanks" value. Anyway the blanks keep showing, they dont disappear. Is this a bug, a feature or am I missing something?

I will really appreciate any help from you. Thank you in advance

Yours, Frank.

Hello,
1. Exporting Pivot-Tables: One of the major reasons I like dbforge Studio is the pivot-table function. However what I am missing is a way to export the created Table to an exchangeable Format that also non IT-Users can read. I am thinking of an Excel-Export. To export a pivot table to PDF, HTML, RTF, XLS, Image files, you have to select File->Print from the main menu. Once this is done, the Preview window opens where you have to click the Export Document button on a toolbar and select an appropriate format.
To set filter criteria, click the Filter button in the Filter Field and select criteria from the drop-down dialog box. In you case you have to unselect the blank item. Please refer to the 'Filter Field' topic in dbForge Studio for MySQL help documentation for details.

Hi Alexa,

thank you for solving the first of my problems. I would have never found the export function in the print dialogue :)

The second problem anyhow still exists. I added a screenshot below. There you can see that the "show blanks" option is disabled, however there ist still a blank category in the first line of the "Testzentrum-Land" Column above "Aegypten". Any solution for that?

Thank you, yours

Frank

Thanks for clarifying.
We've revealed the issue and will fix it in one of the future builds of the product.
