Losing connection during query

I have a couple of instances now where MySQL Developer will error out with "Lost connection during query", but the same query works ok in the regular MySQL Query Browser. Is there some setting in MySQL developer than I should tweak?

Please, specify MySQL Developer version (in About) and connection parameters.
