In the diagramming tool, I've created a MyISAM table but I can't insert a column of type 'POINT'.
Is this by design or is it an omission?

For the time being to our MySQL connector (dotConnect for MySQL), that we are using, was added support for spatial data types, but the GUI tool itself only shows such types, but it does not provide any possibilities to edit them, insert data into these datatypes, or design them visually.
We plan to add such support in the future versions of the product.
