I am importing data via ODBC and would like to automate this process on a schedule, I have searched the forums and have yet to find a solution.
is this possible?

Unfortunately, dbForge Studio doesn't support command-line interface for Data Import tool. But we included this feature in our development plan, and we'll plan to implement it in the next version of our product.

That would be greatly appreciated, is there a planned release date for the next version?

I cannot tell you the exact release date of the next version now, but it will be released approximately in two months.
