Unknown connection string paramater User Id

when i try to connect to local mysql database using login dialog, i receive "Unknown connection string paramater User Id" error and application terminates.

mysql server version is 4.1.12a-nt-max

We are still unable to reproduce the problem. Could you, please, supply us with detailed information?
1. What is your MySQL Developer edition (Studio, Tools or Part of MySQLDirect)
2. What is the MySQL Developer version (and MySQLDirect version if necessary)? You can see it in the about window.
3. Steps to reproduce the problem from application start-up. The steps must include connection creation with specification of connection string that causes the problem.
