Feature Request

Post by jasb » Fri 01 May 2009 18:00

Hi there,
I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but let me try.
For the free, express version, is it possible to add the shortcut to execute instead of F5 to CTRL+E?
Who is working with the MySQL Query Browser (or even the MSSQL console), is very used to this, and F5 it's a complicated key to hit for execution.

Can this be added?

Thanks in advanced,
Jorge Bastos

You can set any shortcut in the Tools->Options->Environment->Keyboard. On this option page just choose "Sql.Execute" command and assign Ctrl+E shortcut to it.

Ops too soon!
I set this, and it doesn't work.
If i open the options again and go there, the F5 options remains, it didn't changed.

How to do it?

Please do the following:
1. Open the keyboard option page.
2. Choose "Sql.Execute" command in the command list.
3. Choose "Text Editor" in the "Use new shortcut in" drop down list.
4. Set focus to the "Press shortcut keys" text editor and press Ctrl+E.
5. Press the Assign button and then OK.
