Package Load Failure whilst starting VS 2005

Post by smart0mat » Fri 05 Oct 2007 20:31

Hello.

I don't know when exactly this started, but I guess it was with the product renaming to MyDeveloper Tools. When I'm starting VS 2005 I get a package load failure for guid {b593d99d-094e-4bfe-be32-a52744872d82}.
In the registry I can see the following data for this guid:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\Packages\{b593d99d-094e-4bfe-be32-a52744872d82}]
@="MyDeveloper Tools Package"
"Assembly"="CoreLab.DbTools.MySql, Version=2.10.71.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701"
"InprocServer32"="C:\WINDOWS\system32\mscoree.dll"
"Class"="CoreLab.DbTools.MySql.DbToolsMySqlPackage"
"CodeBase"="C:\Work\Software Development\Microsoft .NET\Tools\CoreLab MyDeveloper Tools for Visual Studio 2005\CoreLab.DbTools.MySql.dll"
"ID"=dword:00000001
"MinEdition"="Standard"
"ProductVersion"="2.00"
"ProductName"="MySQL Developer Tools"
"CompanyName"="Core Lab Software Development"
I can't see any problem here. The paths are fine.
I don't know where the package load failure comes from.

Thanks in advance,

Ok, I've found a way how the component works for me. I think this is a bug and it should be resolved by CoreLab.

After starting VS2005, I press "no" so the MyDeveloper Tools will not be disabled for next start of VS2005. If I then select "New SQL" or "New Query" in Tools Menu -> Core Lab MyDeveloper Tools then I get the package load failure again.

But here it comes. If I select the same things on the toolbar, then everything works perfectly. If done so one time. The items in the Tools Menu will create no package load failures anymore.

Anyone experiencing the same?
CoreLab, can you reproduce this?
