We recently purchased Schema Compare, mainly to generate Deploy scripts between Test and Prod environments. We also need to generate equivalent Rollback scripts.
During our evaluation of the product, I had thought the generation of Rollback scripts was as easy as reversing the direction during the Synchronization step. The objects checked for inclusion were remembered.
Now that doesn't seem to work... do you really have to do a second Compare, remembering any objects that were flagged for inclusion during the generation of the Deploy script?
Tnx for tips.
Schema Compare and rollback scripts
Re: Schema Compare and rollback scripts
Sorry to be obtuse.
When I say "remembered", I refer to Schema Compare tracking the checked objects to be included in the rollback, rather than me having to recall the items for a second compare.

Re: Schema Compare and rollback scripts
Could you please describe the actions you are performing step by step and the result you are aiming to achieve?
