Quotation marks with recent version update

With the installation of a recent version (4.2.34), any kind of copy/paste from the Data Editor section now surrounds each data field with quotation marks (" "), regardless of the data type.

Is there a setting to disable this 'feature'? This is causing quite a number of extra key strokes (to remove the quotes) when using the result data.

I would like to chime in that I also have the same problem with the Standard Edition v4.2.34.

Hello Alexa and Dzhanhira.

I've installed the custom version and it has eliminated the quotation mark issue. Thank you very much for that.

But I do note an issue that may be specific to this customer version. When data of a data type of 'Date' is displayed in the Data Editor section, there appears to be an empty space between the second forward slash and the year value. Instead of a date of 11/1/2020, I am seeing 11/1/ 2020 . This is true for all date data fields I see, as well as a copy and paste of that field.

I do not recall this from an earlier version.
Thanks Tim

I agree with TWarburton3198 post above.

The space was always present for convenience, but if the space gets in the way, you can manually specify the desired date format in MainMenu-> Tools-> Options-> DataEditor-> Formatting.

See the attached screenshot.

Sorry, commented too soon; didn't see you'd posted a fix immediately underneath! Thanks for the help!

Good morning Dzhanhira,

I will admit, I can not imagine at all what convenience having the extra space there provides, but it must be important to someone.

I followed your instructions, and I do see the formatting options for different data type, including the DateTime. I've have tried to adjust it to different settings, and it does not appear to make an impact. The space is still present within the Data Editor, although, it does not look like is should be when you look at the sample input on the formatting screen.

Thanks
Tim

Hi, I have the same issue,
also the issue from here:
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=42343

but unfortunately the fixed version is 64 bit and I'm using the 32 bit version. :-/

can you please add 32 bit custom version which will include this fix?
