Connect with Oracle 32 bits in a 64 bits machine

Post by vmdiego-17 » Wed 03 May 2017 15:28

Hello,
I have a Oracle client of 32 bits in a 64 bits machine When I try to connect to a database an error appears saying "Unable to load C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin\oci.dll. Please check that you use 64x version of Oracle client with 64x application"
Could I run dbForge for Oracle in a machine of 64 bits, but with Oracle client of 32 bits?.
Must I configure something?.

Hello,

You should download and install dbForge Studio for Oracle, 32-bit. This application is designed to work with 32-bit versions of Oracle client under the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows.

Best Regards.

Hello,
I cannot see where download the 32 bits version. (I have a "standard" license).
When I go to "https://www.devart.com/dbforge/oracle/s ... nload.html" URL the "dbForge Studio for Oracle, 32-bit" line does not have a link or button to download the file.

Could youy help me?.

Thank you

Hello,

Thanks for the reply!

Just let you know that the trial version of dbForge Studio for Oracle Standard in not available for download. But if you are a Devart customer you can download a registered version of dbForge Studio for Oracle Standard from your cabinet.
To do it you should login at https://secure.devart.com with your login&password, then click on the version number link next to the dbForge Studio for Oracle Standard label, after that you are able to download the dbForge Studio for Oracle Standard, 32-bit installation file. If you lost your login&password, please contact Devart Sales Department.

Kind Regards.

Hello,
Yes I am a Devart customer and I do that: connect to my cabinet. There, I can see a link to download "dbForge Schema compare for Oracle Standard", but I only can download the 64 bits version. I cannot see a link for 32 bits.

Could I send you an image of the cabinet page to a e-mail?

Regards,

alexa

We have no 32-bit version of dbForge Schema Compare for Oracle. You can either purchase another our product dbForge Studio for Oracle, 32-bit or upgrade dbForge Schema Compare for Oracle, Standard to the Professional Edition which has Direct mode. Direct mode doesn't require an Oracle client at all. You can download the 30-day Trial versions of the Professional Editions of the products for evaluation.

Hi VMdiego:
I use both 32 bit and 64 bit Oracle related products (Other Oracle IDE's, etc.) I have both 32 and 64 bit Oracle Clients installed on my computer(s) so you could always install the x64 Oracle Client... (in addition to the 32 bit)
