Compatibility with Windows 2003

Post by JohnSparrow » Sat 10 May 2008 17:30

Hello.

I wasn't find any information about OS's, supported by OracleDeveloper Studio (where I it can be viewed?), so this topic was created.

I installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP2, and OraDeveloper Studio (ver. 2.5.117.1) isn't work on this platform. The application runs, but practically each action fails. I have register database connection, tests it, but can't do anything more. Before Windows 2003 installation OraDeveloper Studio worked correctly on XPSP2, Oracle server & my database in both cases are the same. Other programs (such as PL/SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager Console works correctly).

Errors:
-------------------
1) The "About a program" window has 3 web links - to CoreLab site, email & this forum. After the click on any of them apllication simply disappeares, without any messages.
2) I can open previously created database connection, can open "Tables" subfolder, but attempt to open a particular table leads to crash, & "Send error report" window appears.
3) I can't open "Views" subfolder, "Send error report" window appears too.

This 3 steps were enough in ordre to make unfavourable conclusion, :(.

"Send error report" window offers to send error report to CoreLab, i review report contents and find some wrong details about my OS:
Operating System Name: Microsoft Windows XP
Operating System Version: Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600.0
So, topic subject.

Unfortunately we couldn't reproduce the problem. In our environment OraDeveloper runs correctly on Windows 2003.
