number values in excel export

We are evaluating this tool for use in our organization. We are having a problem with the excel export function.

Numeric values seem to be exported as a test field. They cannot be operated on as numbers by Excel functions. I have tried setting the column format to integer or float, but the same problem occurs. Is there a simple workaround for this.

Here is the workaround for the problem.
Press Ctrl+A while you are in data editor. This selects all records. Then copy data to clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C and paste it into the spreadsheet.
Note that you must fetch all the data prior copying it. You can do this by navigating to the last record.

Now we are working over the new version of export module. It will be greatly extended and revised.
