Using Ora Tools to export DDL.

Post by polsol » Tue 28 Aug 2007 10:23

Hi all,

When using Ora Tools DB Explorer for D2007 to export DDL, the second screen gives an option to 'Partially describe tables'. However, I have tried to use this both on my work PC (connected to Oracle Server) and also at home (using Oracle XE).
In both cases this option is 'grayed' (inactive). Am I doing something wrong?

Secondly, why no option to export data for all tables under a schema? It seems to be that this is only available on a 'table by table' basis.
I am trying to export tables and data so I can import at home to do some progs based on these. All I need is the table structures and data. No need for tablespaces et all as this just causes problems on the import side.
Something for Core Labs to look into as I guess I'm not the only one?

We are about to release OraDeveloper Tools version 2.50. It implements both of your requests. For more information see

OraDeveloper Tools have the same feature list.
