The main difference is set of additional tools that save your time and efforts. The following list briefly enumerates main advantages of Professional Edition.
  • MySQL Developer Tools is a powerful add-in for the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET development environment that allows to view and manipulate database connections, schema objects, design and execute queries, view and edit data.
  • MySqlLoader class serves to load external data into the MySQL database extremely fast.
  • MySqlDump class serves to store a database or its parts as a script and to restore database from the generated script.
  • Support for DBMonitor that performs per-component tracing of database events such as SQL statement execution, commit, rollback, etc.
  • DataSet Wizard greatly simplifies process of generating datasets in your application.
  • Enterprise Library support allows to take advantage of Data Access Application Block functionality.
  • ASP.NET 2.0 providers support allows to use the data provider in ASP.NET 2.0 provider model.
So, Professional Edition allows to work much more efficiently, with more technologies. To test this functionality use Trial version, which incorporates all aforementioned features.

We usually send out your registration as soon as your payment is processed. This is done individually per customer and usually takes one business day.
