hi,

i currently own and use MySQL direct professional 3.50.10 and until now ive had no problems

my question is how do i install the updates? (i.e. 3.50.11) please direct me to guidelines on aspects like: do i need to uninstall previous versions or overwrite? do i need to close visual studio 2005? do i need to remove reference and then add it again? do i download the trial version from the web and then apply my serial number to get the latest versions? do i need to remove the bin and obj folders of my project just in case? what about the toolbox, does it update automatically?

Download non-trial version form registered users area. Close visual studio 2005 and help collections. Uninstall previous version. Make sure that MySQLDirect isn't installed and there are no
CoreLab.MySql.dll, CoreLab.MySql.Addin.dll, CoreLab.MySql.Design.dll in GAC. Install a new version. Remove reference and then add it again. Remove the bin and obj folders of your project just in case. Recompile.
You are done.
