No help text displayed with Trail version

Hi,
I've just downloaded the 2.7o beta and tried to get it to run against my 4.17 MySQL installation. When I try the DTTable xample I get errors regarding "null values or dupicate keys".
Trying to read load the help from the Start menu, all I get is the MS document explorer and then my ie default start page.
Can you tell me how to find the help so that I can try and fix my earlier error? I don't think the help was installed correctly as I tried clicking all the files in the /doc directory but can't get to view any of them.
